Krasnodar, Russia (November 17, 2022): The Company enabled the members of its loyalty program to get increased cash back rewards for buying products from favorite categories. This will allow shoppers to optimize their spending on routine and holiday purchases in all of Magnit’s formats.

The Company’s mobile app now gives customers an option to choose from 15 “favorite categories” that will reward them with 20 times more bonus points compared to the base privilege level. The list includes the most popular products: sausages, meat delicatessen, coffee, cocoa, tea, dairy, cheese, dry foods, juices, wine, makeup, laundry detergents and softeners, pet food, and others. Every month, users can choose one of the available categories and get 10% of the money spent on it back as bonus points. One bonus point equals one ruble. Accrued bonus points can then be used to pay for purchases in convenience stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets, Magnit Cosmetic, and pharmacies.

By actively developing its customer services, the Company was able to double the number of monthly unique users (MAU) of its mobile app last year and plans to add several more million people by the end of 2022. In addition to that, holders of Magnit’s plastic loyalty card who switched to the mobile app shop more frequently and spend 4–6% more.

Besides the option to choose a favorite category, users also get access to personalized offers, lotteries, and many other perks. For example, the Company grants double bonus points to new loyalty members after they sign up using any convenient method. Other benefits include a 15% discount for fruits and vegetables that customers can activate throughout November, a 10% birthday discount, and digital stamps — called “Magnitiks” — that shoppers can spend to get deep discounts in certain loyalty campaigns.

In addition to that, all loyalty members can still take advantage of subscriptions offering higher bonus point accrual rates for purchases made in certain store formats or higher privilege levels, receive personalized coupons with significant discounts when buying certain products, get personalized promo offerings, and become part of theme-based shopper clubs: “pro.moms and dads”, “pro.healthy habits”, and “pro.pets”, which feature recommendations from specialists and offer higher bonus point accrual rates .

In Q2 2022, Magnit’s loyalty cards had a penetration of 50% in tickets and 65% in sales, with 39% of its customers visiting two or more store formats. Active loyalty members have average tickets that are 1.8 times larger compared to transactions made without the card.
